Der Kesselraum is an immersive, 5-channel audiovisual installation created as an intuitive response to the space ‘Der Kesselraum” (The Boiler Room) within the WBB Willner Brauerei complex. The now defunct space once functioned as the building’s boiler room, and over the past few decades has remained in an abandoned state of existence. Both the sound and video components of the installation were created in response to the cold and neglected aspects of the space. The installation examines polar dualities of internalized emotion through transitions of sound, color, light, temperature, and abstraction. 2017 // Berlin, Germany
